About this song
The track was previewed during bbno$'s Austin show on his North American tour in late 2018, though it came with no accompanying information at the time. Its release coincided with the date of bbno$'s graduation from the University of British Columbia, and it was promoted through a viral campaign that turned the phrase "Lalala June 7th" into a meme, spread via Instagram meme pages and a short skit with the page 1MinuteTalkShow. Y2K produced the song, having previously worked with bbno$ on his album recess.
