About this song
Here is Alessia Cara's first single, released before her 2015 EP Four Pink Walls. She told The FADER that the song came from a party she attended, where she realized how much she disliked parties, and the song was written the next day. The track had major chart success worldwide, peaking at number 4 in Belgium and number 5 in the US.
What it's about
The song is written for people who feel antisocial, awkward or miserable at parties. It draws on the singer's own experience of realizing she hated parties in general.
