About this song
Left Hand Free is the second single from the album This Is All Yours. The band members have called it the least alt-J song ever, and a Guardian article quoted each member giving their own take on it. Later, keyboard player Gus Unger-Hamilton said the song was not written to please the label, describing it as something the band came up with spontaneously during a fun afternoon in the writers' studio.
