About this song
Grande revealed in an Instagram post that the title comes from Nawal El Saadawi's 1975 novel Woman at Point Zero, written by the Egyptian feminist writer. In an interview with Billboard, Grande explained what the phrase meant to her. In February 2016, she retitled her album from Moonlight to Dangerous Woman, saying the new name better reflected where she was at the time.
What it's about
The song revels in the excitement and power the singer feels when she is with her partner. Grande described a dangerous woman as someone not afraid to take a stand, be herself and be honest.
