Chondromalacia Patella

About this song

black midi began performing the track on tour in 2019, originally under the name "Chondro" on setlists. It was later aired on Marc Riley's BBC Radio 6 show and Radio 6 Festival 2020, and was announced as part of the band's second album, Cavalcade.

What it's about

The title refers to chondromalacia patella, a condition in which softened tissue under the kneecap causes it to scrape against the thigh bone, and it is the most common cause of chronic knee pain.
