About this song
Helicopter was Bloc Party's breakthrough hit. Okereke has said he wrote the lyrics about himself, not about the former U.S. president George Bush, which is a widely held speculation about the song.
What it's about
Okereke says the song is about himself rather than about George Bush. He calls the idea that it targets the president a misconception.
