About this song

"Boys Will Be Bugs" is the first track of the split EP Animal Kingdom: Comet. The song's theme of friendship with girls shows up in the second verse.

What it's about

The song is about the toxic masculinity expected of teenage boys in society. The narrator recognizes that he doesn't fit that stereotype; he doesn't want to be mean or bully anyone, and he would rather just play with bugs.
