Don't Wake Me Up

About this song

Co-produced by Benny Benassi, the upbeat EDM track was released as the fourth single from the album Fortune. It was first recorded for Madonna's album MDNA but did not make the final cut due to time constraints. The song charted well around the world and reached the top 10 in the United States.

What it's about

The song is about clinging to a past love that can only be felt while asleep. Dreaming is the only place where the singer is happy with this girl, so he begs not to be woken up and forced back to a reality without her.
