About this song
"Fine China" is a retro R&B track heavily inspired by Michael Jackson and was released as the lead single from the album X. Co-writer Eric Bellinger said in a May 2013 Billboard interview that the song started with the beat, to which Chris Brown added his own spin. The music video also draws heavily on Michael Jackson, including a nod to his 2001 single "You Rock My World," with Brown wearing Jackson-inspired outfits and dancing in his style. The song debuted at No. 53 on the Hot 100, later peaking at No. 31, and it was included on the soundtrack of Just Dance 2014.
What it's about
The song celebrates how delicate, priceless and beautiful a girl can be. Its single artwork uses Chinese Mandarin, which translates to "fine porcelain."
