About this song
Ed Sheeran has said that Pharrell Williams had tweeted praise for his song "This Angels To Fly", and that after they met at the Grammys they swapped numbers. "Sing" came from their first session together, when Pharrell pushed Ed to try a beat Ed had initially dismissed, and Ed then wrote the top line while Pharrell worked on other sessions in his building. The two then pieced the song together from several verses and choruses Ed had written, keeping the best ones.
