About this song
Bart Howard wrote the song in 1954, when it was titled "In Other Words" and was introduced by Felicia Sanders in cabarets. It became known by its opening line from the B verse, and the publishers later changed the title officially. Frank Sinatra's best known version, with Count Basie, appeared on the 1964 album It Might as Well Be Swing, arranged by Quincy Jones, who moved the song from waltz time to 4/4 and gave it a looser swing feel.
