About this song
The song holds the record for the most time spent in the UK top 40 singles chart, at 75 weeks. It also charted in the US, peaking at #27 in May 1969, and in Belgium, where it reached #19. Paul Anka wrote it specifically for Frank Sinatra, using the chords of "Comme d'habitude" by Claude François, and bought the rights for just one dollar.
