About this song

glaive first previewed the track on Twitter on January 31, 2021, and kept teasing the next single through Instagram Live and Twitter before release. A music video was confirmed on February 8, and the release date was announced less than two weeks later, with the video set to come out alongside the lead single from all dogs go to heaven.

What it's about

The song explores a young narrator losing people he cares about while stuck in quarantine and dealing with a toxic relationship. The first half reflects on a past relationship, and the narrator's desperation for happiness slowly gives way to a sense of coming back to himself, with an upbeat instrumental lifting the mood.
