Don't Tell 'Em

About this song

The first single from Jeremih's third studio album Late Nights, it became a club anthem that dominated the charts through summer and fall 2014. Jeremih said he was inspired to write his own number one single after "Show Me," a song he co-wrote, reached number one on the Rap Airways chart. The song samples vocals from the classic Euro-dance record "Rhythm is a Dancer," which DJ Mustard, Jeremih and YG flipped into an R&B and hip-hop club hit. Jeremih offered the song to 2 Chainz but chose to work with YG when Chainz asked too much for a verse, as he explained on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Several remixes and covers have followed, including an official remix, a UK remix, and a cover by Lorde for the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge.
