"Oui" was produced by Needlz and his protégé Donut, with a beat built on an electronic harp melody and trap-influenced drums. Donut recalled chopping up an eight-bar loop to make the original beat. The bridge interpolates a melody from Shai's 1992 number one R&B hit "If I Ever Fall In Love." It was the fourth single from Jeremih's third studio album Late Nights and became a top 10 R&B hit in the spring of 2016.
