About this song
"Sorry" is the second single from Justin Bieber's album Purpose. It was written with songwriters Julia Michaels and Justin Tranter and produced by Skrillex and BLOOD, blending tropical house elements. The song premiered on UK radio station CapitalFM and was released with a dance video choreographed by Parris Goebel featuring the ReQuest Crew, and it debuted at #2 on Billboard's Hot 100 before reaching #1 ten weeks later.
What it's about
On the surface, the song is an upbeat apology asking for forgiveness in a relationship. Bieber has said it is partly about his ex Selena Gomez, and has also suggested it is a more general apology to the world for his mistakes.
