Star Shopping

About this song

The beat was made by Kryptik and samples "Never Mess With Sunday" by Yppah. Lil Peep told a crowd at a concert in Minnesota in October 2017 that he had written the song in his mother's bedroom while high on heroin. The song was unavailable on most streaming services because of a copyright issue with the sample, and Yppah publicly claimed Peep had copied his song. It was officially uploaded to streaming services in April 2019, and the re-release renewed interest and boosted its popularity, with the song re-entering the Genius Top 20 Hot Songs chart.

What it's about

The song finds Lil Peep reflecting on his relationship with Emma Harris, who is growing impatient with him. He understands her frustration, tells her how much he cares, and asks for some time to sort everything out.
