About this song
"Good News" is the lead single from Circles, the first posthumous project and sixth studio album by Mac Miller. The track initially leaked online on September 1, 2019, and was later confirmed to be on Circles on January 9, 2020. Its music video features clips of Miller recording music, along with animated nature scenes.
What it's about
The song deals with Miller feeling no relief from negative feelings, while the people around him want him to say he is fine and to hold those feelings back. It contrasts that pressure with the positive parts of the world he hopes to find.
