About this song
"We Belong Together" is the second single from Mariah Carey's 2005 album The Emancipation of Mimi. It was seen as a comeback single after a stretch without a number-one pop single, and it topped the Billboard Hot 100 for 14 weeks. The song won Grammy Awards in 2006 for Best R&B Song and Best Female R&B Vocal Performance, and Carey has described it as a labor of love made in collaboration with others.
