About this song
Meghan Trainor recorded commentary for Spotify in which she shared the song's inspiration. The track is the second radio single from her 2015 album Title, following "All About That Bass." Like that single, it was highly popular and entered the top 5 of the Billboard Hot 100.
What it's about
The song is a fast-paced doo-wop throwback in which Meghan dumps her cheating boyfriend with style. Trainor has said it was inspired by a co-worker who lied to her repeatedly, which she compared to a boy lying to a girl in a relationship.
