About this song
Machine Gun Kelly released the track as a response to Eminem's disses on his surprise 2018 album, Kamikaze. Eminem also name-dropped Kelly on the album's opener, "The Ringer," in a line mocking Lil Pump's "Gucci Gang." The title is a play on Eminem's 2013 single "Rap God," which was a major success. Eminem answered with "KILLSHOT" on September 14, 2018, eleven days after this song came out.
What it's about
The song is a reply to Eminem's jabs at Machine Gun Kelly on Kamikaze, including lines about Kelly's rap style and Eminem's daughter.
