"Me and My Husband" is the seventh track on Mitski's fifth studio album, Be The Cowboy, released in August 2018. Like earlier songs on the album, it grows out of the loneliness Mitski felt while writing the record. She has said the song isn't personal, noting that she isn't married and was imagining a woman in a long-term relationship, using the suburban housewife stereotype to make her point.
