About this song
NF described the track as the second part of his 2015 title track "Mansion" and a continuation of that song's third verse, which dealt with fear. The song was first announced through NF's Twitter account and then confirmed by his song "Outro." In an Instagram Live, NF said it was the hardest song he has ever attempted to write, taking him over two weeks to finish.
What it's about
NF reflects on his old fears and the changes he has made to overcome them. By the end, he concludes that he cannot fully destroy his fear, since it is the root of most of his problems.
