Goodbyes

About this song

"Goodbyes" is the second single from Post Malone's third studio album, Hollywood's Bleeding, and his first single of 2019. It is the first collaboration between Post and Young Thug. A snippet surfaced online on March 12, 2019, the full song leaked two days later, and Post later confirmed the official release date of July 5, 2019 on Twitter. The music video shows Post being stabbed at the start, then returning as a zombie in a Wild West-style town, where he confronts the girl who left him and watches Young Thug perform for the crowd that killed him.

What it's about

Post sings about troubles with a girl and his wish to remove her from his life, while Young Thug's verse seems to show him trying to reconnect with a girl, a sharp contrast to the rest of the song.
