About this song
"Ordinary Pleasure" is the second single from Toro y Moi's sixth studio album, Outer Peace. The song deepens the artist's exploration of 1990s dance music, and its easy, playfully groovy production sits in contrast with the wistful tone of the lyrics.
What it's about
The song finds Chaz reflecting on how love relationships can wear out over time. He wonders whether sex is bound to become an ordinary pleasure at some point.
