A BOY IS A GUN*

About this song

The song was first teased in a 28-second snippet posted by Tyler on May 13, 2019. It is one of the softer cuts on IGOR, built around a soul sample in the chorus with glittery synths and keys in the background. Its title was inspired by the 1971 French western A Girl Is a Gun, which Tyler confirmed at the IGOR Apple Music concert.

What it's about

The song seems to allude to Tyler's possible bisexuality, comparing being with his love interest to gun ownership in several ways. The title itself echoes its central comparison.
