EXACTLY WHAT YOU RUN FROM YOU END UP CHASING

About this song

The track features a short vocal snippet from comedian Jerrod Carmichael and works as an interlude leading into "RUNNING OUT OF TIME." Tyler has worked with Carmichael many times, including on an hour-long interview about Flower Boy and music for Carmichael's HBO special "Home Videos." On the physical version of the album, this track is replaced by "BOYFRIEND."

What it's about

The song is a brief spoken interlude, and the text does not explain its message. Carmichael's voice foreshadows themes found in other songs on the album.
