NEW MAGIC WAND

About this song

Tyler, The Creator declared "NEW MAGIC WAND" his favorite song in a September 2020 tweeted bracket ranking of his own songs, where it beat out "OKAGA, CA" for first place. He had earlier named it his favorite song on IGOR in an Instagram post in May 2019. The song was first teased in a 47-second snippet posted to his social media in May 2019, and it features Jessy Wilson and Santigold.

What it's about

Tyler tries to convince someone he has feelings for not to leave him, even though that person is still thinking about a past relationship with a woman. He goes to extreme lengths in the song, including threatening to kill both his love interest and that person's ex-girlfriend.
