About this song
Written by E. Kidd Bogart and Ryan Tedder the day after Tedder had surgery on a broken Achilles' tendon, which led to the cancellation of OneRepublic's tour. The song was released simultaneously with "Diva" on January 20, 2009, and it won Best Female Pop Vocal Performance at the 52nd Grammy Awards. It was one of 2009's best-selling singles and drew comparisons to Kelly Clarkson's "Already Gone", which was also composed by Tedder.
