About this song
"Happier Than Ever" is the title track of Billie Eilish's second album. The five-minute song is built on two different instrumentals that carry two different tones as she voices her thoughts.
What it's about
Eilish reflects on a past relationship, how it made her feel, and the mistreatment she endured. In the first part she describes being constantly lied to and says she is happier away from her partner and the abuse, while the second part turns into a rough, provoking drum collage as she revisits that trauma.
