About this song
SUGAR features vocal performances from four of the group's six vocal members, along with a vocal contribution from American alternative singer Ryan Beatty. The track was leaked before GINGER's release, showing up on file sharing sites starting June 21, 2019, and the leak most likely pushed its release back to the album's launch. A remix featuring Dua Lipa and Jon B came out on March 3, 2020, after the song had success on the Billboard charts.
What it's about
The members discuss hollow youthful relationships filled with drug use, as well as being there for a partner and wanting them by their side.
