About this song
"Break Ya Neck" is the first single from Busta Rhymes' 2001 album Genesis. Dr. Dre and Scott Storch produced the track, and Truth Hurts provided the background vocals. The "give it away" part is interpolated from the Red Hot Chili Peppers song "Give It Away." The song is considered a landmark track for Busta's work and for speed rap in general, and Watsky used its instrumental for his breakout track "Pale Kid Raps Fast."
What it's about
The song's general theme is that you haven't really listened to music properly unless it has made you break a bone. It serves as a showcase for Busta's ability to rap very fast.
