Woo Hah!! Got You All in Check

About this song

Woo Hah!! Got You All in Check was Busta Rhymes' debut hit single, released from his 1996 debut album, The Coming. A remix featuring Ol' Dirty Bastard was released later. The single reached platinum status, topped the Billboard Hot Rap Singles and Hot Dance Music/Maxi-Singles Sales charts, and peaked at #8 on the Billboard Hot 100. It earned a Grammy nomination for Best Solo Performance in 1997. The backing track is partially sampled from Galt MacDermot's "Space", and the chorus line is a callback to a Big Bank Hank line from the Sugarhill Gang's 1980 single "8th Wonder".
