BLACK BALLOONS | 13LACK 13ALLOONZ

About this song

"Black Balloons" is the second track on Denzel Curry's third studio album, TA13OO, and features GoldLink and Twelve'Len. In a March 2019 interview with Genius, Curry talked about how the song was made, explaining that he liked the hook but was not happy with his original verse or the original beat, so he went back into the studio to record a new version.

What it's about

Throughout the track, Denzel draws parallels between his own life and the movie It, and discusses tragic experiences. In his first verse he compares himself and Taboo to people in the same boat, with Pennywise's words floating over them all.
