Desperado

About this song

The song was never released as a single. It first appeared on the Eagles' second album, Desperado, in 1973, and has since been included on many compilations. Although it evokes the old west, it was recorded in London, and it debuted on a concert tour of the American west. Don Henley first wrote it in Texas, and Glenn Frey later contributed to it in Laurel Canyon; it was one of the first Henley-Frey songs and the inspiration for the Desperado album. The Western Writers of America included it on its list of the Top 100 Western Songs of All Time.
