About this song
"Black Skinhead" made its debut on Saturday Night Live. It is stylized as BLKKK SKKKNHEAD in reference to the Ku Klux Klan.
What it's about
The song is a dark, rebellious and near-tribal record that mixes Kanye West's usual boasting with anti-establishment and anti-racism themes. It draws on the skinhead movement, which started in Britain in the 1960s, and likely references the racist neo-Nazi side that came to dominate the movement in the mid-1980s to 1990s.
