Runaway

About this song

West said the song serves as a toast to the douchebags. Pusha-T shared that he wrote the verse four times while going through a relationship scandal, and producer Pete Rock recalled laughing when he heard the drums, which were taken from his earlier work Mecca and the Soul Brother. Kanye premiered the song at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards, a year after his interruption of Taylor Swift's speech there.

What it's about

West weaves a tale about his relationship with Amber Rose, along with his arrogance, insecurity and sorrow. The track strips the glamour from ideas of power, sex and money.
