About this song
Lewis Capaldi confirmed in his speech at The BRIT Awards 2020 that the song is about his grandmother, not an ex-lover as many assumed. The music video stars former Doctor Who actor Peter Capaldi. The song was Lewis's first UK number 1 single, holding the top spot for seven consecutive weeks, and it also reached number 1 in Scotland and Ireland.
What it's about
The song is about the loss of a loved one. The music video shows a widower who meets a young mother and listens to the heartbeat of the heart his wife had donated to her.
