About this song
The song was written by Gerard Way while he was riding a subway and had a panic attack surrounded by many teenagers. When guitarist Frank Iero first heard it, he thought it was a joke.
What it's about
The singer recalls his own teenage years and the unfair fear adults had of teenagers. He notes that now he is old enough to feel uneasy around them himself.
