About this song
Kurt Cobain originally titled the track "Imodium", after the diarrhea medicine of Tad Doyle, as a nod to the running on of the mouth. The song is likely inspired by Cobain's breakup with Tobi Vail.
What it's about
Cobain described the song as a look at life in Middle America: marrying at 18, getting pregnant, and being stuck with a baby that the narrator does not want.
