About this song
The song was a crucial release for OneRepublic, as the band had agreed that they would split up if it failed to connect after their hit Apologize. It became a success and reached number 12 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart on April 5, 2008.
What it's about
The song is principally about feeling lost or trapped, as if the world has gone crazy and there is no way out of the rut. Towards the end, it turns to a more positive message that belief in what you are doing can help you make it.
