High Hopes

About this song

The song was released as the third single from Pray For The Wicked, following "Say Amen (Saturday Night)" and "(Fuck a) Silver Lining". It was first posted half an hour early on the band's official YouTube channel, and it later became the highest-charting song in the band's history, peaking at number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100. Brendon Urie shared his inspiration for the track on social media when it came out, saying he had not set his expectations high enough and needed to aim high and keep failing in order to grow.

What it's about

The song is about chasing your dreams without hesitation and seeing them come true beyond what you imagined. It is built around the idea of having a strong feeling that something good will happen.
