Say Amen (Saturday Night)

About this song

"Say Amen (Saturday Night)" was released as one of two singles announcing Panic! At The Disco's sixth studio album, Pray for the Wicked. The song includes a sample of a tour transition used before "Nine in the Afternoon" on the band's Death of a Bachelor Tour. Its music video is the first part of a trilogy directed by Daniel "Cloud" Campos, acting as a prequel to "This is Gospel" and "Emperor's New Clothes."

What it's about

Brendon Urie has described the song as his way of reconciling his career with his early Mormon roots, even though he is no longer religious. He has said it was not meant to spite those roots, but to express that he still prays, feels spirituality, and worships and praises.
