About this song
"Even Flow" is the second single from Pearl Jam's debut album Ten. It took between 50 and 100 takes to record, far more than the band's other songs on that album, and drummer Dave Krusen had trouble with the track. Because so many takes were recorded, the single version is a separate recording from the album version.
What it's about
The song narrates the life of a homeless person. Matt Cameron, who was Soundgarden's drummer at the time, counts it among his favorites.
