About this song
Planet Telex is the opening track of Radiohead's second album, The Bends. It was released as a double A-sided single alongside High And Dry, though High And Dry received far more airplay. It was the only song on the album written before the recording sessions began, and it was recorded one night after the band had been drinking heavily, with Thom Yorke recording his vocals while lying on the studio floor. The working title was Planet Xerox, but it was changed because Xerox is a trademark.
