About this song

An early demo of the song appeared on the Manic Hedgehog tape, when the band was still called On a Friday. A later version was recorded at Courtyard Studio in Oxford, England, alongside the rest of the songs from the Manic Hedgehog Drill EP. The version that opened Pablo Honey is another recording with slightly different lyrics. The band later grew tired of many Pablo Honey songs, but kept playing this one live from time to time.

What it's about

The song seems to be about people blindly following others, especially higher-ups, and how that could lead to the end of society. It is disguised as a simple love song about a narrator who admires a girl.
