Save Your Tears

About this song

A snippet of the track appeared online on July 12, 2019, leading many to believe it would appear on After Hours. Shazam revealed on March 17, 2020 that it was the eleventh track on the album, and The Weeknd confirmed it the same day when the track list was released. The song was released as the album's fourth single in Europe on August 9, 2020, and in the United States on November 24, 2020, and a music video followed on January 5, 2021.

What it's about

The Weeknd revisits his past relationships and the experiences he shared with former partners, while offering no emotional support to an ex. Compared with the darker, muddier tracks in the middle of the album, it is one of the more synth-heavy, '80s-leaning songs on the record.
