About this song
Lupe Fiasco timed the song's release for January 6th (Australian time), which coincides with The Epiphany, a Christian holiday marking the appearance of the infant Jesus to the Magi. The song also appears on the Tetsuo & Youth album, and Lupe has called it his favourite track from that record.
What it's about
The song draws on the traditional Nativity scene of the Magi, the wise men who followed the Star of Bethlehem to find the infant Jesus in a manger. The Magi are said to have offered him gold, frankincense and myrrh.
