traitor

About this song

The piano-driven ballad went trending upon release, with many people speculating about who the song was about, and most of the suspects pointed to Joshua Bassett. The music video shows a heartbroken Olivia surrounded by teenagers on a fun night out, and it closes with her opening a door that possibly signals a newer, happier era.

What it's about

Olivia reflects on what went wrong in a past relationship, the feeling of being betrayed, and still missing what she had. The song follows the same ideas as her earlier hits "drivers license" and "enough for you."
