Bodysnatchers

About this song

Thom Yorke's inspirations for the song included Victorian ghost stories, The Stepford Wives, and a feeling of being physically trapped without being able to fully connect with anything else.

What it's about

The song tells a story about monotonous, boring lives in which a person feels uncomfortable with themselves and hides their true self. It depicts living a fake life, acting like someone else, and feeling dead as a result.
